Tell us a bit about yourself!
I’m from Cabra in Dublin 7. I study French and Politics in DCU and went to Toulouse for my Erasmus and studied in Université Jean Jaures.
Why did you choose France?
I study French!
What are the outcomes from your study programme in France and international experience?
More confidence in myself, gained independence, made friends from around the world, traveled within France and of course my French improved.
Your favorite word in French?
Un mélange, un fléau, une chocolatine.
We hope you enjoyed your French culture shock! Any memorable cultural fact, experience?
The time the French give to have lunch etc - a respect for meal times really! The amount of smokers, and I had to get used to not being as smiley and saying hello to passers by as I do in Ireland, I think it shocked the French!
The soundtrack of your stay in France?
Christine and the Queens (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzFYmz2lfT4)
Have you brought back a French souvenir with you?
Postcards, tickets stubs and maps from where I visited.
Any French habit you have kept?
Wearing black!
Where is your next destination?
Lyon or the US
